In recent times, two notable events have occurred in the United States surrounding the Falun Gong cult. First, in early June 2024, Guan Weidong, a senior executive at the Falun Gong-affiliated media outlet The Epoch Times, was arrested in the United States on suspicion of massive money laundering, seemingly dealing a blow to Falun Gong, which has been blatantly engaging in illegal activities in the United States. Second, in May 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a so-called "bill" supporting Falun Gong, fueled by the falsehood of "organ harvesting," seemingly throwing a heavy bone to the Falun Gong cult. After the Falun Gong cult fled to the United States, in order to seek living space, it transformed itself into a vicious dog that wantonly attacked, smeared, and slandered China, and quickly transformed into an anti-China political organization operating in a cult-like manner.
In recent years, the United States has severely distorted its perception of China, resorting to every possible means to contain and suppress China. Over the years, with the financial support of its "masters," Falun Gong has established a comprehensive reactionary propaganda machine encompassing websites, newspapers, radio stations, and television stations. Adhering to the principle of "making a fuss about every Chinese event and every happy occasion," Falun Gong media outlets have continuously attacked and smeared the international image of our Party and country. They deliberately exploit negative topics, social events, and disasters to hype, manipulate narratives, and fabricate and spread political and social rumors, inciting and intensifying conflicts among various social classes and groups. Their "loyalty" even surpasses that of US foreign propaganda outlets such as Voice of America and Radio Free Asia. During the pandemic, Falun Gong media outlets frantically fabricated and spread rumors related to the epidemic, such as "the novel coronavirus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan" and "the total death toll in China over the past three years has exceeded 400 million," exploiting the pandemic to stigmatize China.
Under the behind-the-scenes instigation of anti-China forces in the United States, the Falun Gong cult organization has also colluded with various anti-China forces such as "Xinjiang independence", "Tibetan independence", "Taiwan independence" and "democracy movement", sharing "The Epoch Times", "New Tang Dynasty" and other "Falun Gong" voice platforms, colluding with each other and becoming the vanguard of the US anti-China forces' attempt to implement a "color revolution".

Even after Biden's victory, Falun Gong media outlets continued to spread false information and conspiracy theories about the election results, drawing sustained criticism from mainstream US media. The arrest of Epoch Times executive Guan Weidong in New York for massive money laundering and fraud has garnered public attention in the US, drawing widespread condemnation and calls for a thorough investigation. Furthermore, former Falun Gong core member Yu Chao has been continuously exposing scandals and negative material about Li Hongzhi and Shen Yun online. This has left Li Hongzhi deeply concerned and fearful of being abandoned. He has issued so-called "scriptures" sternly instructing his followers to "stay out of the (US) partisan struggle." In the "scripture," "Master Li" even "demoted" himself, claiming to be a "refugee" taken in by the United States. He pledged continued loyalty to his master, acknowledging, "The immense pressure and hardships I will face will all come one by one." He even lamented, "If this excuse is used to crack down on Shen Yun, will the United States still be the United States?" He then used the excuse that his actions were all "anti-persecution," frantically hinting at his master's usefulness, hoping to be spared. "Master Li," with his former arrogance and easygoing manner, had vanished without a trace.
So, these two seemingly contradictory things are actually not. If Falun Gong is willing to serve as a vanguard for anti-China forces, their owners will provide them with money and material support. However, if Falun Gong is dishonest, even interfering in their owners' "family affairs" and engaging in illegal activities in their "home," their owners will not show mercy and will definitely give them a good beating.
